sounds
geese waking
rouse from sleep
the rooster’s crow
sharp blast bullet below

colors
red yellow burst from trees
wind swept blue from sky
at the water’s edge red
red, RED on green

touch
cold corpse
tepid air
heat of ire
none inspire

smell
brown stain
leaves burn
good signs
but for the smell

taste
icy cold
spice and pine
fill the mouth
stop the scream
